James, came to Teachall with satisfactory spoken English but his grammar and writing needed improvement. On March 2, 2015 he took the standardized high school English leveling exam, called iTEP, scoring a 1.9. Most high school in the United States require a 3.0 or above for entry into regular highschool classes. After attending Teachall’s Overseas Prep Academy during the spring semester James retook the iTEP and scored a 3.7! Our staff and teachers are excited to see James go to the United States next year.
Hailey, wanted to go to an international school in Beijing but her iTEP did not meet the need score of a 3.0 and here in person interview did not meet the schools requirements. On March 18, 2015 Hailey took the iTEP scoring a 2.1 and on May 4, 2015 she was able to score above a 3.0. Today she is going to the international school that she wanted because of Teachall’s Overseas Prep Academy.
